We are trying to avoid adoption agencies, who make money from adoptions and care more about placing children than placing children with the right adoptive parents. We will work with you, the birthmother (birth-mother), directly and help you make the right decision about your child.
Independent adoptions, or 'private adoptions' help establish a common goal between the birthmother and the adopting parents. When the birthmother is pregnant, she can contact prospective adoptive parents and decide which suit her expectations the best. The terms of the open adoption can then be discussed, and a lawyer is consulted to draft the required legal documents.
