When Am I Due?

To determine your due date your doctor will ask you for the date of the first day of your last menstrual period. He will add seven days to that date, then subtract three months. This will be referred to as your EDC, estimated date of completion, or "due date." For example, if the last period started on August 8th, add seven days, which will bring you to August 15th. Then subtract three months, which will make your due date May 15th of next year.

How this calculator figures your pregnancy due date

Our due date calculator is based on a 40-week your pregnancy, assuming that you became pregnant during the third week after your last period. Most doctors use this same timetable to let you know approximately when your baby will be due. Every pregnancy is a little different, so remember that this due date is only an estimate.
